CARNE ASADA TACOS

These Carne Asada Tacos are inspired by the best MOM and POP #taqueria stands we have enjoyed across our travels. It is not about getting your hands on the most expensive cut of meat, but rather the opposite. Using a beef chuck (soooo cheap), a few simple ingredients and an overnight marinating process is guaranteed to create that flavor and make you at least one new friend. NO SITTING ALLOWED.


TIPS:

***Using a combination of a fresh squeezed orange juice and lime breaks down the connective tissue and tenderizes the meat while adding flavor***


***Additionally, patting your steak dry before searing ensures a charred crust locking in all that amazing flavor.***


We built our carne asada taco with a grilled flour tortilla, fresh guacamole ( jalapeno and tomato), refried achiote pepper beans, cotija cheese, and pickled red onions! Get creative on what toppings you have and be sure to tag us with your #tacos!
